Community and Work in the Digital Age
Day Two: August 2, 2023
The second day of the Annual Forum directs attention and cross-sector dialogue toward the interplay of the digital economy, smart cities, and the pressing need in this historical moment for the strengthening of community ties through innovative approaches to work and well-being.

Emerging Leaders Fellowship Program
July 1 – August 14, 2023
We will welcome a new cohort of doctoral students and early-career professionals to engage in policy and leadership training with a specific emphasis on Asia-Pacific regional cooperation around the topics of tourism, trade, energy, and the future of work. ELP Fellows from multiple Asia-Pacific countries share accommodations and build friendly and cooperative working relationship across cultures and sectors. The ELP begins with atendance at the Annual Forum and continues with targeted training in policy and leadership development and hands-on, topic-specific workshops.

Special Session: Hawaii Regenerative Tourism Conference
August 8-9, 2023
NEAEF is co-sponsoring, with Hawaii Sea Grant, this special session on regenerative tourism, which brings together stakeholders and experts from within and outside the University of Hawaii to discuss and explore current research, education, outreach, and visitor management capacity to support a more sustainable tourism management. The conference session and related field trips will focus on tangible solutions for regenerative tourism in the Asia-Pacific Region.
