ABOUT ULANA KA ‘IKE

The Ulana ka ʻIke Sea Grant Center of Excellence (Ulana ka ʻIke Center of Excellence) was established in response to a growing need for increased coordination of Hawaiʻi Sea Grant projects involving Indigenous knowledges and communities.

Mission: Serve as a collaborative hub coordinating Sea Grant faculty and partners who work on projects that engage multiple knowledge systems.

Vision: Customary practitioners from multiple knowledge systems have decision-making power and direct co-management of coastal and marine resources.
