Why It Matters

In Hawaiʻi, the ocean has always been more than a resource; the ocean is a provider, a teacher, a source of cultural identity and connection to ancestors. However, the ocean faces many challenges such as pollution, overfishing and warming that disrupt marine ecosystems. Through this symphony, we explore our relationship with the ocean and reimagine our future in harmony with the sea.

E mālama kākou i ke kai!
Let’s all take care of the ocean!
