The exhibit originally scheduled for November 7 through 28 has been postponed. We do hope to reopen at The ARTS at Marks Garage January 9-February 27, 2026. Please stay tuned for updates!

- Please scan or submit a digital copy of the artwork (follow the digital image file specifications listed below)
- For teachers submitting a large number of works, please submit a spreadsheet that includes all of the information below on the application form for each submission.
- Student First Name, Student Last Name, Title of Artwork, School Name, School City, Teacher Name, Teacher Email, Parent/Guardian Name, Parent/Guardian Email.
- Only one entry per student is allowed and only one entry as a class is allowed.
- All original artwork must be two-dimensional and single-sided.
- The artwork should feature at least one marine organism in Hawaiʻi and reflect the theme of “E mālama i ke kai, a mālama ke kai iā ʻoe” to show some ways we take care of the ocean and how the ocean takes care of us.
- Artwork must be original in its entirety by the student(s).
- Artwork may not violate any U.S. copyright laws. Any entry that has been copied from an existing photo or image (including a painting, graphic, or advertisement) that was created by someone other than the student is a violation of the competition rules and will not be accepted. - Submitted artwork may be shared during the in person exhibit at The ARTS at Marks Garage in Honolulu Historic Art District from November 7 through November 28, 2025 and online as a Virtual Exhibition.
- Artwork may be used to promote the Symphony of the Hawaiʻi Seas and Hawaiʻi Sea Grant education activities.
