In collaboration with others in the Nalley Lab and the Iacchei Lab at Hawaiʻi Pacific University, Kelsie investigated macroalgal affinities of Gambierdiscus, a Ciguatoxin-producing dinoflagellate, and its spatiotemporal distribution across Oʻahu to better understand incidences of Ciguatera Poisoning.

She is now a PhD Student in Natural Resources and Environmental Management at UH Mānoa.
