Laurel Wickwire conducted otolith morphometrics and local fish measurements to assess fish populations as a Hawaiʻi Sea Grant undergraduate research assistant. She is a marine biology researcher interested in sharks. She believes sharks are extremely essential to keeping our oceans healthy, and hopes to combine research with film to help share their importance in a more accessible and engaging way.
