Olivia Boucher is a 2025 E. Gordon Grau Fellow with the Hawai‘i Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) Division of Aquatic Resources (DAR). Through her fellowship, she will contribute to the Holomua Marine 30×30 Initiative by assisting with public-based planning, outreach, and coordination around marine managed areas across the state. Her work will focus on advancing marine ecosystem management through stakeholder engagement, policy research, and cross-sector collaboration that helps bridge science, the public, and decision-making.

Oli recently earned her Master of Environmental Management (MEM) from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa’s Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management, where her capstone research focused on traditional ecosystem services and graduate student well-being through ʻāina-based volunteering in Heʻeia. She also served as a 2025 Peter J. Rappa Fellow with Hawaiʻi Sea Grant, where she explored the use of immersive digital media tools for coastal resilience outreach. Olivia is guided by aloha ʻāina and is passionate about furthering conservation that is grounded in people, culture, and pono management.
