Lea Kaiʻaokamālie is a faculty member with the University of Hawaiʻi Sea Grant College Program serving as the Kona Moku Resilience Stewardship Coordinator on Kauaʻi. In this role, she focuses on planning and policy facilitation, coastal and watershed stewardship, adaptation to environmental change, public engagement, and integrating traditional knowledge into collaborative management approaches.
Lea has more than 25 years of experience in urban and regional planning, environmental policy, GIS, and place-based management in Hawaiʻi. With ʻohana roots in West Kauaʻi, she brings a perspective grounded in both profession and place to strengthen practical, people-centered solutions that improve the resilience of our pae ʻāina.
