Venus Rodin, a 2025 Sea Grant Community Engaged Intern, is focusing on Business Engagement for the EPA Pollution Prevention project. This initiative is dedicated to establishing safe, reusable food ware systems in Hilo, Hawaiʻi. She is collaborating with Zero Waste Hawaiʻi Island, Perpetual, and Sea Grant on this vital work.

Originally from the Big Island of Hawaiʻi, Venus thrives on stepping out of her comfort zone through creative projects, exploring her island, and cherishing time with her grandmother and twin sister. She is deeply committed to engaging with her island, especially through sustainable efforts. With a profound love for her home, she plans to dedicate herself to educating local residents on these important topics.
