Dr. Keri Kodama is an Assistant Extension Agent for the University of Hawaiʻi Sea Grant College Program specializing in climate and outreach. Her work focuses on developing data products for climate monitoring and research on the Hawaiʻi Climate Data Portal (HCDP) and promoting accessibility and awareness of data tools for environmental resilience. She will also be continuing her long-time partnership with Hawaiʻi Sea Grant publishing the educational book series “The Three ʻIo Brothers,” which she writes and illustrates on topics relevant to coastal conservation in Hawaiʻi.
Dr. Kodama received her Ph.D. in climate dynamics from George Mason University, and a bachelor’s of science in applied mathematics from Seattle University. She previously worked as a research fellow at the East-West Center with the HCDP team and is excited to expand that work at Hawaiʻi Sea Grant.
