This summer, Paula is a Sea Grant Community Engaged Intern working with Zero Waste Hawaiʻi, Perpetual, and Hawaiʻi Sea Grant College Program. She is learning data management on an EPA Pollution Prevention Project in a program called “Environmental Justice through Safer and More Sustainable Products.” Paula is responsible for collecting and analyzing business volume data in order to streamline the data collection process and create data models for a foodware system project on reusable containers.
