Jonathan Lance is a specialist with the Hawaiʻi Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Commission (CCMAC). Partnered with the University of Hawaiʻi Sea Grant College Program, Jonathan’s role is to ensure that Hawaiʻi’s weather adaptation policies are fair to disadvantaged and sidelined populations across the state, by conducting research, outreach, and making recommendations regarding weather, environmental, and public fairness issues.
Over the past 15 years, Jonathan has worked in terrestrial and marine conservation, aquaculture and sustainable agriculture, disaster response, and environmental remediation. Jonathan earned a bachelor of science in ecology and evolutionary biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a master’s of science in environmental management from the University of Hawaiʻi. He enjoys drawing upon his varied experiences to bring a holistic approach to solving environmental fairness matters.
