Jennifer VanderVeur is an extension agent with Hawaiʻi Sea Grant, working as the climate grants manager for the Hawaiʻi Climate Commission. Jennifer will be working with state, county, and community groups on climate change mitigation grants across the state.

Upon earning her master’s degree, Jennifer worked in the Marine Program for the Kahoʻolawe Island Reserve Commission for ten years, before moving on to manage the Maui Nui Program for the Coral Reef Alliance, mitigating sediment runoff impacts within priority watersheds of West Maui. In her most recent position, she was the development director for a newly established environmental non-profit, Tipu Tipu Restoration and Sustainability.
