Emma Tovar is an educational specialist for the University of Hawaiʻi Sea Grant College Program’s Hanauma Bay Education Program. She is responsible for the coordination and facilitation of onsite marine education programs for schools and community groups. Emma also works on the development of grade specific curricula that aligns with the Hawaiʻi Department of Education content and performance standards.

Earning her BS in Marine Ecology from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, Emma has always been passionate about the environment and working with youth. In her free time, Emma enjoys hiking and finding new restaurants to try.
